An Eye Look that goes with Every Lip Color

Image
Good evening, my beautiful people. I've had to scroll up and change my intro because I started this post yesterday morning (before we left for Hilton Head) and it is now 5:05 pm the next day. It's been a long two days, needless to say.   A lot of times, I'll start on my makeup and finish my eye makeup and look through my lip products to see what I want to wear. I end up coming across a gorgeous lip color, but I can't wear it because my eye makeup would clash and possibly look clownish.   SO, for this tutorial I thought I would share an easy eye look that goes with any lip color you can think of! There are a couple of eye looks out there that do this trick, so I'll continue to share those with you in the future.   Let's get started...   I have my face and brows already finished, so the focus of this tutorial will be on the eyes and lips.     Foundation: Loreal Infallible Pro-Matte Bronzer: Too Faced Chocolate Soliel Matte bronzer in

Baking Technique

Image
Hi again! I did my friend's hair and makeup today and used the "baking" or "cooking" technique in contouring and highlighting, so I thought I'd snap some pictures and share the technique with you here on the blog. Letting your makeup "bake" basically means you're letting it set for a while with a light-colored or a translucent powder. It helps you achieve a precise contour and provides a really clean finish to your makeup. I baked Lesley-Ann's makeup and, in the meantime, worked on her eyes or touched up her hair a bit.   I used a (clearly shattered) translucent powder from Ulta and a sponge that kind of looks like a beauty blender. If you normally dampen your beauty blender, don't. This works best with a dry sponge. If you don't have a sponge to work with, a dense powder brush will work just fine.   Pack on a thick layer of powder to your sponge or brush. Apply this over your foundation; remember, this is a setting te

Tatted

Image
Hey babes. It is 5:03 pm and I finally have wifi. Check out my tatt. Sadly, it isn't real... maybe someday, but definitely not anytime soon. I've wanted to try and draw a sleeve on myself for a VERY long time (I'm such a weirdo, I know), and I finally had the time to do it since yesterday was such a dreary summer day--I skipped out on the pool and tattooed myself. Here is a video showing every piece: **Disclaimer** I don't think you can view the video on your phone unless you use the blogger app, so sorry! Next time, I'll upload to YouTube and post the video from there.   Here's a photo of the inner pieces that you can't see in the first picture just in case you aren't able to watch the video!   This does take a lot of time and effort. It took me about 4 or so hours working on it off and on. I used a black Wet 'n Wild pencil eyeliner that I found in my makeup stash. I actually found two and switched back and forth, sh

Update

Hello, lovelies! It is now 8:58 pm. I realize I didn't post at ALL in June... what kind of blogger am I trying to be. I've sort of been in a rut--not knowing if I actually want to start doing tutorials again or just keep posting about whatever I'm feeling or thinking about... Well, here's the thing:  I think of new makeup looks and good blog post ideas like it's my job. It has become second nature, honestly, I just get lazy and don't follow through with the ideas. Summer goal (even though summer is halfway over): POST UP. I'm driving myself crazy thinking about the amazing feedback I could be getting from these ideas that I have. I've also promised tutorials in the past (when I had my last blog) and never got around to doing them. I'm thinking a lot about maybe filming my tutorials to become short videos on my blog or maybe continuing the "pictorial" roll that I was on. Either way, you'll be seeing a tutorial (in some form) ve
